GPS Training Madhya Pradesh

One day program on Global Positioning System was organized by Ecocert India Pvt. Ltd. for Madhya Pradesh clients at BioRe Campus on 11th July 2009. Total 29 representatives from 14 different projects were participated Training program was started on 11.00 pm with inaugural speech of Dr. Amol Nirban and followed by Dr. Jay Sakle with Introduction of GPS in ICS where, Mr. Ehesan, Expert from Electronik Lab, Mumbai, explained GPS 72 instrument.
In the second session Mr. Ehesan took every participant into the fields for demonstration of working of GPS system. He demonstrated how the instruments is putting on, acquiring satellite receptions etc. He also explained what is GPS location, how to read it, how to save it. Finally, he took a round around the field with GPS and along with participants, he told about track-up, track saving etc. When practical finished, participants were returned to hall for the next lecture i.e. how to download data from GPS instrument to the computer.
In third session, after lunch, data downloading and saving data as text file was taught and demonstrated. Data including waypoints and tracks were uploaded in Google Earth for live demonstration of field map.
In fourth session, all participants were personally handled the GPS instrument and did the assigned task to them. Assigned task was given to them by Dr. Jay Sakle, and it was completed under Mr. Bhushan Patil. Every participant was asked for saving a waypoint and track as a practical. This activity was done Project wise, after the practical participants were allowed to ask their queries and questions about GPS instrument handling.
Training program was concluded after satisfying all queries and questions raised by the participants.
